December 21, 2025

Hello,
Welcome to the December 2025 newsletter.
As the year draws to a close I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting my carpentry and joinery business.
If you are new to my website, welcome.
This work related website and blog posts have been created because of increased client interest, and it is not lost on me that you would rather invest in quality materials and craftsmanship then cheap imported alternatives that don’t last.
It is humbling and a privilege to play a part in you making home improvements that add capital to your property and enhance your everyday living. Even the smallest projects can make such a practical difference, such as adding more storage like bookshelves and wardrobes, double glazing, a new front door or installing French doors, a window seat, through to full kitchen makeovers.
With this in mind, while you are home on the holidays after the Christmas rush, and your thoughts turn to 2026 and the home projects you would like to have done, you are welcome to send me through a message regarding your project and I can get back to you when I return to work. There is a Contact Form at the bottom of this page.
Please include:
Your name.
A brief description of the work you would like done and your location, e.g. Franklin.
My work ranges from the smallest bespoke carpentry projects right through to full home renovations.
I’m really happy to work to your designs, together with my 30+ years of carpentry knowledge and experience.
Currently, there is some February/March availability, being in touch early allows more time for materials to be ordered and delivered so your project can be completed asap.
The Home page, Portfolio page, About page and Blog Posts on this website are created to help you make informed decisions about renovating and working with me. I deliberately keep the blog posts concise and to the point, an easy five minute read.
We are staying close to home this holiday season. Catching up on some gardening and hopefully some reading too. I didn’t ask for books this Christmas (which is the usual) since I’ve still got a stack to read. Next up is this book I got for Father’s Day. I really enjoy reading about the old skills such a hedge laying. I started teaching my daughter to play chess when she was six, the student has now well and truely passed the teacher, we always try to fit in a few more games over the break. We are also making a new chess board together during the holidays.
I look forward to adding more posts, updates, and returning to work in the new year.
Please let me know if there is anything you would like me to include in my blog posts or monthly newsletters.
Thank you again for following along and supporting my business.
Wishing you a peaceful 2026.
Michael
