As the colder weather sets in, people often don’t associate this time of year as a good time to renovate or work on home projects, but, with some easy planning it can still be done with little disruption to your home.
The benefits of working with me and renovating at this time of year are:
You don’t have a tradie in your home for the whole project.
I’m working on your project but in my workshop.
We coordinate install day that fits with your schedule. I’m really happy to change the day if something unexpected comes up for you. (Life happens, I appreciate that).
I have a quick turn around between demolition and replacement/install.
E.g. With a Kitchen I will make all the cabinetry in my workshop. I remove the existing kitchen the day before install day. You/we coordinate your plumber and electrician to disconnect and reconnect water and electricity.
Like with the rest of the year, we work around the weather.
Windows:
We schedule install day depending on the weather, just like any other time of the year.
To remove a window and replace it usually takes a day maximum.
I make a range of double glazed timber windows (I can also make single glazed windows).
Double glazing is cost effective, energy saving, and adds capital to your home.
I’m really happy to make your windows all at once or in stages.
Doors:
I make a range of internal and external doors and like all my bespoke carpentry work, I’m happy to work to your designs.
The doors I make are not hollow and they are not veneer.
The doors I make are solid timber.
Install, Delivery or Collection:
Install, Delivery or Collection depends on the project and on your preference.
Install days are usually between 8am – 5pm.
Delivery is optional.
Collection from the Huon Valley is now an option. E.g. Internal Doors. External Doors. Screen Doors. Windows. Gates. Cabinetry. Vanities.
There is a Contact Form below, please reach out, no question is a wrong question.
I’d rather we talk through any questions you have to make sure your project runs smoothly. If I am not the right tradesperson for your job I’ll let you know. Here is a message I received last week from prospective clients that had asked if I could take on their project:
“Thanks Michael for your honest feedback and yes will engage with a Structural Builder to come and have a look at the building and give us a report. Will keep you in my records as a contact for future reference. Thanks so much, M & J. Huon Valley.
Michael
