Hello and welcome back to another newsletter instalment.
While the newsletters haven’t been as regular as planned there has still been so much work going on behind the scenes, some projects I will share in due course and other projects will remain private. As always, I am grateful to work with such lovely clients and helping them bring their projects to life.
At home:
Mid 2026, our daughter Liliana completed her Batchelor of Arts Degree, majoring in History at the University of Tasmania. She was admitted to the University Role of Excellence for outstanding results. Lil also won the Kay Daniels Prize in Social History which is:
“Awarded to the student enrolled in a History unit at 200 or 300 level who submits a major assignment for assessment in the field of Social History which best exhibits the qualities that exemplified Kay Daniels’ own work: imagination, intellectual clarity, rigorous research and broad humanistic concern.” University of Tasmania.
In the garden:
Our enclosed verandah is a great spot to grow seedlings. Easy access for watering, and walking past the seed trays several times a day we can’t help but keep a close eye on everything. Lots of the usual cold climate veg, the tomato seedlings are up and we are growing Tasmanian Chocolate, Tigerella, Green Zebra and Roma. There are also seeds sown for growing flax and for natural dying. The flax and natural dying plants tie in with Liliana’s historical work to do with textiles and folklore.
Less than 100 days until Christmas:
I know, it seems to have come around fast and with that said, if you are wanting to complete a renovation project or have something custom made please reach out as soon as possible and we can get everything organised and the work completed before Christmas.
I do have some availability. Just to let you know, I don’t overbook during the lead up to Christmas. It is important to me that working together is as stress free as possible. I finish work a week before Christmas, this means my last project for the working year is signed off and the home owner can get on with preparing their home for the holiday season without a tradesperson underfoot.
There is a Contact form below or you are welcome to text or call during business hours if that suits you better.
Until next time,
Michael
