Hello,
Did you know that I make a range of External Doors.
(I also make Internal Doors. Click on the link at the bottom of this blog post for more details.)
All the doors I make are solid timber and are not made from veneer, they are not made from coated mdf and they are not hollow.
All glazing adheres to the Australian Safety Standards. Glazing in doors and door surrounds is toughened glass regardless of if it is single or double glazing. Windows lower than 600mm off the ground have special safety requirements and toughened safety glazing must be used.
UV Tinted Glass and Frosted Glass (for privacy) is also an option.

Double glazed door, matching screen door, door frame, glazing above door and matching windows. All made from Tasmanian Oak and installed by me.
Here is the list of External Doors that I make and I’m also very happy to follow your designs:
French Doors.
Dutch Doors.
Barn Doors.
Solid Exterior Doors.
Doors with Single or Double glazing,
Doors with glazing above the door.
Fly Screen Doors.
Door Frames.

Craftsmanship, using quality local materials that are cost effective, working together respectfully, making something to your specific design and measurements – these are things that a mass produced item doesn’t have.
The carpentry work I do is usually as cost effective as an off the shelf mass produced, imported, factory made item.
I shop around and compare timber prices to keep your project as cost effective as possible.
I prefer to use Tasmanian and Australian sustainably sourced timbers and have very good long standing relationships with my building suppliers.
Cost does not include install, painting/varnishing, or hardware (eg. hinges/handles/locks etc).
I can install the door/s for you or to keep costs down or you can install the door/windows yourself. I really appreciate if you would like to do this and if you choose this option, collection is from the Huon Valley. We can arrange a time for collection that suits us both.
