Hello,

Today I’m sharing a Laundry Project that was completed last year.

With thanks to the returning Clients for allowing me to share their project.

 

 

Laundry Details:

The clients have cleverly designed this Laundry room to make it practical and functional for their family’s day to day needs.

They took into consideration the existing plumbing and electricity/light switches as well as allowing for the exhaust fan in the top right hand corner and the overall footprint of the room.

There is bench space for folding washing, storage above and below the bench top, and a ceramic sink.

The Barn style sliding door saves space in a small room. It also saves on money by not having to install a cavity slider in the wall as the wall would need to be opened up for the cavity slider to be installed and then re plastered/wall paneling re instated.

In the above middle photo you can see the cabinetry starts away from the wall on the left hand side, this is to leave room for the barn style sliding door to open and close along this wall. Two photos below are taken during installation of the laundry cabinetry and include the barn style door. The third photo below is of the finished laundry.

Clients chose to varnish the Tasmanian Oak.
