It is no secret, renovating can feel overwhelming. It’s worrying about making the right choices, trusting your own vision and also trusting the tradespeople you hire to make that vision come to life. It’s a lot! Let’s not forget the renovation horror stories we’ve all heard and some of us have experienced, myself included.

I work really hard on open communication, lots of planning and contributing to a work environment that is as stress free as possible.  Updating you with progress reports and returning messages are a priority. If you have been following me for awhile, you have probably seen my say;

I love my job and I love working with respectful clients. It is important to me that you become a returning customer like so many of my clients. I encourage you to ask any questions, I would rather that than you being worried or anxious about something related to the project.

Fairy Wren Cottage is home, situated in the Huon Valley. As soon as my wife and I bought Fairy Wren Cottage, I gutted it (think shag pile carpet in the kitchen and toilet) and renovated it. This is our second renovation, our first was gutting and renovating a Miner’s Cottage, shifting in while also moving interstate with a ten day old baby. Because of  these personal experiences, I have a very good understanding of renovating, working to a time frame and keeping to a budget.

When a client has a long project list, they either get everything done at once or they stagger the projects. I’m happy to do either, and if you have a deadline we just need to make sure that everything is organised well in advance so I can book your work in and organise the materials.
