Tip 1:

When you are buying boxes of tiles, always look at the code/batch number to make sure they match each other.

I’ve been personally caught out by this when buying white subway tiles (you would think they would be a generic standard colour). There were two big shelves filled with boxes of the white subway tiles and I grabbed two boxes thinking they were all the same colour but they weren’t. When I returned the tiles (which equated to the project being delayed) the tiling assistant explained this tip to always match the code/batch number.

Tip 2:

Always try and buy the grout at the same time as the tiles.
