The carpentry work I do is usually as cost effective as an off the shelf mass produced, imported, factory made item.
Craftsmanship, using quality local materials, working together respectively, making something to your specific design and measurements, these are things that a mass produced item doesn’t have.
I prefer to use Tasmanian and Australian sustainably sourced timbers and have very good long standing relationships with my building suppliers. I shop around and compare prices to keep your project as cost effective as possible.
While a lot of my work could be described as more tradional or classic, my work does vary including modern designs .
Clients usually send me some inspiration photos, a plan and measurements. From there I work out the practical elements of the design and if anything needs altering, we work closely together. I don’t begin a project unless you have approved it and I definetly don’t take it upon myself to change a design half way through a project, there is no reason to.
I am really happy to work with client designs together with my 30+ years of carpentry knowledge and experience.
Until next time,
Michael
